Update: Hero Mark Spradley gets his $25,000!
At the time of my last post about South Florida hero Mark Spradley, it was up in the air whether the Broward County CrimeStoppers would actually give him the $25,000 reward for catching alleged cop-killer Michael Mazza. As of 10 a.m. today, however, it’s official. Spradley was given the $25,000. Scott Kelly, the pawn shop owner who made the 911 call, received $1,000.
Spradley, who was homeless and living in his car at the time he picked up hitchhiker Michael Mazza, presumably can now find himself a more comfortable lifestyle — one that’s well-deserved.
